Barbara K. Tritz RDH, BSDATE, MSB, HIAOMT, Specialist in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Barbara is a biological dental hygienist, author, orofacial myofunctional therapist, dental consultant, and international speaker. In her quest to be a healer Barbara found the path away from traditional hygiene and into a more holistic health viewpoint. Her desire to look deeper started with an early introduction to dental microscopy, which she finds to be a crucial part of any operatory. She trained in Buteyko breathing, orofacial myofunctional therapy, and earned a biological accreditation from the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. Her passion for dental hygiene resulted in her blog/website: Queen of Dental Hygiene.net, where she shares research that she reads and information for everyone.Barbara works as a clinical hygienist in the office of Green City Dental in Edmonds, Washington. She is owner of Washington Oral Wellness and there practices orofacial myofunctional therapy. Barbara was awarded the 2019 HuFriedy-ADHA Master Clinician award, and recently accepted the dental hygiene committee chair position for the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
